I have some aftermarket cans on the Falco from when I purchased it.
Is there any way of checking easily if the fuelling etc has been fiddled with to adjust it to suit the cans by the previous owner?
Bike runs fine, but just wondering if any adjustment is usually necessary when just sticking on some cans on the Falco.
Ta.

Some manufacturers supply the cans with a chip.
Some don't.
It is only when you start modding the airbox etc that you might want to think about a chip for your set up.
You will need the right chip for your set up if you go down this route. Don't just buy any chip as this could cause over fuelling.
Finally. Some have fitted a Gabro chip to their falco, for a personal thing and it makes things run smoother.
Its up to you what route you want to go down?
Hope this helps.

What he said but unlikely as it is not to have been done might be worth checking the wire has been cut to the existing chip and if the lEVU looks like it had been opened then worth checking if it has already been chipped.
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.

'Open' cans can cause slightly hotter running but as others have said EPROM chips compensate, if the bike runs fine then I guess you don't got a problem.
Forza and Gabro chips provide a lot smoother running than standard EPROM,tick over is also more reliable.
Very easy to pop out ecu and only 4 small screws to open up ecu, if I'll is standard one of the screws will have a blob of sealer on it

Gabro does chips with 2 maps on them, switchable by the derestriction lead to the CPU (normally snipped to derestrict). On the blue Falco I had the 'restricted' map set up for standard plus Fuel cans, and the 'derestricted' map set up standard plus Fuel cans plus modified airbox. I haven't done any airbox mods yet, so am still on the 'restricted' map, but can say that the Gabro chip has smoothed out the power delivery no end, and also gives a very nice boost to the mid range. Seems to pick up noticeably faster as well.
