Bottom Yoke...

#1 Post by GregD-UK » Mon Aug 04, 2014 8:53 pm

Hi all,

Just a quick question for the knowledgeable, the bottom yoke on our falco is it the same on the ohlins bottom yoke? I know the top yoke is 53mm on our sachs stancheon's and 51mm on ohlins.

Want to change my setup to a tuono bars one (the 2006 version). Have contemplated just getting the top yoke milled out from 51mm to 53mm. Wondered if that would weaken the yoke too much? Want to use aprilia parts as well.....

Cheers

Nope

Mazocchi and Showa are 53mm top and bottom

Ohlins are 51mm top and 56mm bottom

Also, if you get ohlins RSV yokes, make sure top and bottom both come from the same generation of bikes as the offset is different on the Gen1 compared to the Gen II

Yep - currently no overseas work trips planned until USA in October ... and again in November .... though things can change (not that that's going to happen in the immediate future)
