Ive just done a complete removal, strip down and rebuild of my Marzochi's.
Easy job tbh.
Im not really sure why you would need a spring compresser tho: Swapping the springs can be done with the forks still on the bike!
Support the bike on a rear paddock stand (or Abba, etc) and simply work on one fork at a time so that the other fork supports the front end.
I would back all settings off (taking note of amount of clicks/turns/etc) before starting just to release any tension on the spring. Then undo the largest nut on the fork top, being careful to push down on it before it 'pops' up under the remaining spring tension. Once thats undone, it should be possible to lift it and reveal the spring underneath. IIRC, there is a lock nut just underneath that needs to be held while you unscrew the top adjusters from the damping rod. Once thats off the spring is free to be pulled up n out of the fork.
That make any kinda sense!?!? :smt017

Improvisation is key! lol :smt002
I took an old bicycle spanner (those ones made out of a flat sheet of steel with various sized cut-outs in em) and hack sawed it to fit round the lock nut. Its thin enough to fit between the spring coils and grip the nut so you can unscrew the top adjuster piece completely off.
