Re: eprom
You could try it but.....big alan wrote:ive got an eprom marked " rsv my 01/02/03 " my falco has k&n and aftermarket cans does anyone see any problems or reasons not to try it out ?
With my experience of having worked on other peoples falco's and mille's I would try and get as much info about the chip.
If the chip over fuels the bike things won't be smooth.
You are better off spending some money with Forza or Gabro and getting the "Right" chip for your mods.
If you decide to fit the chip and it does over fuel the bike a good indication is that the bike will start from cold with no fast idle?
Fit it. Try it you may well be lucky, let us know

Tolerance will be our undoing.

Agree mostly wiith Jay(blinky) though would add that if there is no other numbers etc then the date would suggest an older chip and for the relatively low cost of a new custom mapping I would spend the £

If it works things will be fine from the onset. If it gives you over fuelling problems DO NOT use,an over rich mixture will wash the oil film off the piston rings and cylinder walls, foul the plugs and overall fuck your motor.Aladinsaneuk wrote:I think that chip is for a big valve Mille lump......
Gabro chips are highly reccommened and £65/£75 is not a lot for a massive improvement
If you require further insanity maybe look at Dr Rossi eproms, from what I hear they are more aimed at RSV's but both Gabro and Rossi will map to your choice

And we definitely have a long thread all about EPROM / chips :)
Gabro Rossi or Forza all worth a punt over standard IMHO
