Falco rear master cylinder actuation rod needed

#1 Post by mangocrazy » Sat May 17, 2014 2:47 pm

A few months ago I sent a bunch of stuff off to the local platers to have the parts plated (funnily enough). Now as I'm working my way through reassembling the bike, I'm gradually finding parts that 'got lost' and which I have now no chance of recovering.

The latest part that's gone missing is the rear master cylinder actuating rod, Aprilia part number AP8121416. It's only £2.61 on Fowlers Aprilia parts web site, but will need to be oredered in from Italy...

Do any of you fine people have one of these surplus to requirements?

Very good chance it will be the same part on many different European bikes so maybe try Ducati/KTM/ Guzzi / BMW ?
Or a second hand from breakers?
How bloody annoying for you !

It would be nice if other bikes did use the same part, but I'm not holding my hopes out - even the Mille has a different part number (and price).

Secondhand is probably the way to go - nothing on ebay that I can see, but I'll give Griff a ring first thing Monday morning.

It is annoying - I'm going nowhere without the part, and I'm rendered immobile by somebody else losing the part. Grrrr.... And the weather was bloody gorgeous today, and will be tomorrow...

Hopefully Griff will have one in his biccy tin !
Worth mentioning that I work about 15 mins away fron Fowlers (Bristol) so if anyone needs to avoid silly p&p charges, pm me !
Also worth mentioning, locally they are known as Foul ups ! Sure you can guess :smt009

Rang Griff this morning and his biccy tin doesn't have one... :smt010

So I've ordered a new one from him, which should (apparently) arrive on Thursday.
