lONG TIME NO SPEAK BUT HELP NEEDED ONCE MORE....AS ALWAYS !!
OK people it's been a long while since I've posted on here but once more am in need of your help....
DOES anyone have a rear brake cylinder they would like to sell me ? I changed rear sets and had to fit a different cylinder and am now changing back ( don't buy CHEAP Chinese rear sets of Evil bay ) BUT I can't find my old rear cylinder anywhere so at the moment have no rear brake ......it's lovely and sunny in gods country and although I can ride the beast I'd rather do it with a back brake ...
Fingers crossed one of you lot have one tucked away somewhere .......

If its a pain to bleed, once fitted correctly, remove the caliper from the bike and simply wedge something between the pads (and maybe put a zip tie around as well), then access is a little easier for getting to the bleed nipple etc.
I rate the MityVac bleed kits but not sure if they are still available.

No worries thanks for checking BUT the good news is that as it was raining this afternoon and the kids were out and I had peace and quiet ....how I love peace and quiet ....I went back to the garage to try one last time to get the thing working and now it is !!!
I basically replaced all the Chinese cheese bolts with good stainless ones and all was good.....well almost but I'm happy enough !!!
AND to top it all off I found the old Brembo Cylinder sitting at the back of the only bloody draw I NEVER checked , so all in all a good afternoon. Kids are back now so back to noise but at least I feel better about the bike.....very smug and happy bunny now where's the kids chocolate !!!

Glad you found the old one, I never bought a new rear master as I didnt need to. I thought mine was spanked as it would not bleed up, even vith a vacuum bleeder.
I ended up hanging the caliper on a bit of wire and jamming the brake pedal with a bit of wood ( ports open in master cyl) and gravity did its thing !

I did the same thing when I couldn't get it to work , took it all off nailed it to the wall in the garage and got it working fine...Great I thought until I realised that I would have to break into it again to fit it back on the bike and so it started all over again ....
I hate the back break but it's working now but for how long who knows !!
