Just had the fright of my life. Throttle stuck open in top gear while already doing 130mph!! Had to pull up sharpish, clutch in engine off. Not quite sure what happened, twisted the throttle a few times seemed fine, started her up again stuck at max revs, turned off gave a few more twists then ok after a second start. Didnt feel a change in throttle feel.
I'm going to assume cable and/or spring. Anything else i should be looking for? Has it happened to anyone else?
Getting a bit of clutch slip too now at higher revs, barnett the answer?

Glad you made it to a standstill from that speed (when you were NOT on the highway but on an un used airfeild near you, makes sense if you see what I mean)
I have similar clutch problems, works ok till you smash it open then SLIP bigtime
DONT buy EBC frictions, they dont bloody fit, stack height of plates too high.
Check all linkages and cable routing for snagging.
I use white PTFE grease on on fiddly bits, oil based lubes can destroy cables if they have a nylon inner liner between cable and outer

For the throttle "sticking" - It's unlikely to be the cable sticking unless the closing cable has snapped too - normally the butterflies would be pulled shut.
I have heard of one or two instances where the screws holding the butterflies onto their shafts have come loose and that has let them stay open enough to give problems. If that is the case, make sure you loctite them in place.
Of course, check there are no physical obstructions dropping in the TBs that might hold the butterflies open.
