Unlucky/lucky

I got back to the yard this afternood to see a couple of the fellow bike riders looking at my front tyre.
Ritz said ' front looks a bit soft there mate, oh shit, look at this '
He pointed out several cracks radiating from the outer edge of the tread to the sidewall.
Decided to ride to bike shop round the corner, front almost flat now, not so on ride in this morning, not noticed any cracks before.
£130 later, new front fitted, the last bit of the ride home is along the 'airfeild' so lucky it was spotted.
What makes a tyre go like that ?

chemicals.....

you leave the bike standing in something?

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

UV - leave a tyre long enough in sunlight ....
It's one of the main reasons that tyres have a limited lifespan.
Often recommended that if you store tyres, you minimise the problem by sticking them in black bin bags.

Same for bodies ? Will told me to ask? ;)0
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock
