The SL chip should have a daughter board. At least the one I have does.

all you need is a dremel , some balls and some door sealant....

and no, I am not joking :0
I'm pretty sure that paddy made a Renegade style kit - not an evo one.

Plenty of info on how to make an evo-style one on AF1 BTW
My account still hasn't been activated there :smt017

the SL chip I have is fitted to a daughter-board.
It's the V-twin thing. There's just something about it that inline-4s don't have at all, and V-4s don't have enough of.

This little fella is fitted directly into the eprom socket. Im guessing the daughter board hosts ancillary components to the eprom ?
I mentioned the odd setting of the trim screws, could this be related to a 'missing 'daughter board ? Along with the everything or nothing low speed running ect

I think we need a photo

The daughter board enabled the ecu to be fitted iirc

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Oops, remove the glue and the eprom sits on a black board which sits on the white eprom socket.......
A mother and daughter combination ? :smt005

Perhaps one of the other SL chip owners has an image they can share?

The daughter board primarily connects the appropriate pins on the chip to those on the socket.
The chip has a different pin-out to the standard chip.

Alad, that's the one ! Thanks Zoid for the pic.
I will have another play with this one, set the trim screws, check pins for crud and see if this sorts starting/low speed issues, areas where the Forza chip wins
