Have a good time Xrphil.

If I was over there (Italy) you could have stopped for a night in our place as well, the west coast road is bendy but its not the best of surfaces :smt005 :smt103

well thats it, we`ve been and done it!
excellent trip, 6 bikes, 3400 miles. Stayed in some great places, had lots of great food and wine, and rode some Fantastic rds. highlights being the Dubrovnik coast rd, and the Canyon de Verdon (gorges) in south of franch, the latter being the best rds i have ever ridden.
bike was great and very comfortable. The clutch master cylinder seal went, which caused a scare till I worked out that i could bleed it, which I needed to do daily. got home stripped it down and was amazed how much grit was in there, seal has marks all down the side.
must say if i do it again I would do less miles, and motorways, and have more rest days, we only had one day off the bikes.
the riding was quite quick, especially when only 4 off us did the Gorges, but never felt un safe, worse bits for that were the bigger cities like Florence, we we mostly avoided.
would like to have spent more time in the alps, but its there for next time, rds in Italy were a bit iffy, but the mountains were really nice, as were the people (when they wern`t driving 2ft from your rear wheel)
irony of the trip, 3400 miles, and some prik knocked my bike over at the BP garage 15 miles from home! broke indicater, brake lever, and scratched frame, mirror and bar end :smt013
still could have been worse, some speeds we were doin, wasn`t even on the bike when it happened.

Glad you had a good time, sad thing is your garage spill, but its inevitable here, this country must be the worst in Europe for bike awareness.

actually he didnt see me, the ducati in front of me which he reversed into and pushed into me, or the gpz1100 behind me!
he was busy eating an ice cream.
lucky he was going slowly. just walking back from paying to see my bike going over.
