Suspension Settings
Probably a dumb question but here goes -
I have just put a yellow spring sachs mille shock onto my falco with the relevant linkages from the mille
Out a run this evening and I can feel every bump in the road, have checked the settings and they are as standard. I weigh about 16 1/2 stone.
How would I go about softening the ride a bit.
I am of to the Isle of Man on Thurs next and dont really want to have to put the blue sachs back on, any tips would be good cheers

Put the blue sachs back on, and to help you out I'll take the mille linkages of your hands. I'm helpfull that way
Will be interested in how you get on as I'm of similar weight to you, but don't have the mille linkages yet to go with my sachs yellow spring shock.
I assume you've set the sag? Many posts on here how to do it. Impossible for a 16stone guy to get it anywhere near the recommended settings when using the yellow spring shock with Falco linkages, so will be interested to see if you can with th mille ones.

Re: Suspension Settings
You now have sports bike suspension, not sports tourer, and yes it is a lot firmer and will kick you out of the saddle occasionally, I'm a tad heavier than you and it used to kick me out when using the Ohlins and the new T does the same.EEEP wrote:Probably a dumb question but here goes -

It's the price you pay I'm afraid, a good suspension set-up is always going to be a compromise especially on the road but personally the firmer ride is a price worth paying for when you want to push on a bit

Re: Suspension Settings
I'm surprised you find it hard as you are on the heavy side as am I. What is the rider sag? and are you sure you don't have to much hydraulic braking dialed in? the 01 RSV shock should have around 12-14 clicks from fully closed for road use and around 20 clicks for the extended shock absorber, metal ring, but this changed on some models.WEEP wrote:Probably a dumb question but here goes -
