Oil cooler guards that dont guard !
since fitting a Beowolf cooler guard last autumn, I've managed to hole the cooler.
Anyone that has fitted a Beodog guard will have noticed that it is well made, substantial and fits flush with the outer face of the cooler, has pretty diamond pattern holes.
The holes are 5mm square, too big. In no time Ipicked up a small hadfull of crap from the road that fits through the hole and could cause damage.
As a short term, I got some fine mesh, double folded it so it is spaced about 6mm off the Beodog guard fixed with tiny zip ties

hope you can get fixed or get a replacement.
I made my own few years ago for the rads and cooler. skidz bellypan so I stuck it onto the inside of that and years later it's still going strong.
for the rads I trimmed the edges and the grills fit into the natural grooves top and bottom.

I never liked the look of the beowolf ones and was too short of time to make my own so bought some from Mikes Grilles. They've been fine and were a lot cheaper than the beowolf ones.

Like Aladinsane, I bought a couple of sheets of general use gold SS mesh (tho mine was from Ebay) for around £20.
Plastics off, sheets cut and simply bent around the rads!
I used a single piece to cover both top rads that routes under the central plastic (the vertical piece behind the front wheel) which holds it nice and secure!
TBH, its been on the bike for five winters so could do with being replaced...
