So, logic dictates buy a second hand tank, drain it, store it and swap over every 6 months....
Bit of a faff though. Surely there is a point where the expanding stops?
Probably when it gets stretched so thin it ceases to function as a tank and starts a new career as a sieve.
I'm only kidding, by the way (I hope...)
Backmarker coated the inside of his tank, ISTR. Not sure if it stopped the swelling. The smart move would be to drain the tank at the end of October, let it air until March (and hopefully shrink back to normal), then seal it and live happily ever after. Perhaps.

I guess, but it is my only transport so i have to have it road worthy just in case.
I wonder if it would be easy to drain the majority of the fuel from the tank when the bike is not in use? but quickly and easily.

Fumes ma boy, fumes.....
Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

I've realised that although my tank has grown, part of the issue of clearing the yokes is due to having fitted the yokes from a Gen2 Mille - they are a different shape and come further back around the steering stem.
Things aren't good but maybe not quite as bad as I had thought

The two tabs on the front of my tank do slightly stuff the top triple on the way up and down... Not enough to do anything about it yet.

For that you'd need a QD fitting on the supply line to the injectors, I think. I'm planning to put one on mine at some point, if only to make tank removal a much simpler process. (The return line already has a QD fitting).
