I have acquired an aprilia tank bag that converts into s rucksack and has 4 adjustable straps with hooks to fix the bag I think! How do you secure this to the tank?

yes - straps down from the back of the tank hook on to the part of the frame on to which the rear sub frame attaches and the front loop loops round the insert that pushes into the hole in the bolt on the top yoke.
