I always remove the banjo bolt from the throttle body end if removing the tank, and thread it back between the T/B'sfatboy wrote:

Also i don't remove the pivot pin under the seat that holds the tank,but the 4 bolts that hold the bracket that bolt it down to the sub frame.
I find this makes the tank removal relitively easy

I agree - much better way to do it.
