P.S.
Just a thought Andy, I reckon this means that you have made 11.3% of all the posts on this site since you joined!
We need to create a special award to cover this.

Anybody got any ideas?

i have so many ideas.... lol

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

OK, I'll start, with a nice one.

The Nestor Award (re-read Iliad & Odyssey) - for being a source of wisdom and knowledge

This is despite the fact he spends much time out of the country.
Me, I also joined in Jan 2007, (when we moved over from the old site), and have 3382 posts.
Haha - more posts but probably only the same number of words :smt005

I really don't think so!
You can't get around it that way, u r still Mr. 11%.
Then again we would never want to lose you, there is nobody who comes back with answers to techie problems quicker or more accurately than you.

Just a quick test ...............

Which fuse do I go for if I want to connect some heated grips up to an ignition circuit?

I am sure you covered it before and have done a few searches, but can't find it in the Tech. Section.

Very many thanks Andy, I did try to search, but was trying heated grips and others likes fuse box, not just grips on their own.
I always search first, but it is usually with the wrong key word. :smt009
As I said before, what would we do without you?

Cheers!

Yes it was a good laugh, not sure what I did. :smt017

I'm just old and stupid with not much patience, which is why I reallly appreciate the help people like you provide.
You'll understand better in a few years, (not too many now).
The even sadder part is that I am getting somebody to fit them for me and just wanted to tell them how I wanted them wiring!
Having suffered with Osteoarthritis for 30 years I can still grip things with my hands but it bloody hurts, so when I popped in to SMC in Sheffield yesterday and the Oxford Sports grips were on offer for £42, I was intested. The wife jumped in and said can you fit them, (Xmas present time), I argued briefly, but the fitting prices were also reduced, so the overall price was less than the "buy" price on internet.
As you get older this sort of option sounds a good bargain, although in the past I would priobably have gone for 1/2 price and fitted myself.
Working in a cold garage on the bike for a few hours leaves me in serious pain doing most jobs these days. I get a lot less pain riding so I spend more time riding than fettling now.[/i] :smt002

Thanks again. :smt023

Lol - don't worry about it Howard - you know I'm only winding you up and am happy to help.

..... and as for heated grips .... wouldn't be without them (have also been contemplating a nice pair of muffs for the colder months)

Pete? John ? would you like first dibs on this one ? :smt002
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

These muffs will be for my own comfort. They shall not be soiled by either Pete or John.
