LED number plate bolts
Anyone found any that last?
Also do you just wire em up to the original number plate light wiring or is there any tricky ballast business?

Well, you need to limit the current that flows through LEDs - so it really depends whether they've built the current limiting resistors into the units or not. I would think they should do - but who knows?
The info should be with the parts you buy.
Also LEDs should out-last bulbs by a huge margin .... if the current limiting etc has been done appropriately.

Why buy them just nick em off one of the people above ... You have a fair idea at least one of them has them

For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.

Now last time I came to Russia I left you a song by Easterhouse called "get back to Russia"
Well as much as I googled and searched I couldn't find one for this trip that said
"Get hat to Russia " ;)

I've got a set on (I'm far enough away that you theiving gits can't readily nick them). As said they're plug and play they'll have a limiting resistor in them. One of mine went out, so I ordered a new set (cheap as chips), the day before I was going to fit them the "broken" one started working again, so they must be self healing.
On closer inspection of the lights the ones I've got have no protection i.e. the SMD LED is open to the elements, so I'm going to try sealing them with clear bathroom silicone sealant for some protection.
Not sure if it'll compromise the lighting, but they're only there 'coz I'm obliged to have them.

I'll have a look before I fit them. I bought some medium priced ones from a bike place so if they look dubious they're having them back.Falcopops wrote:
