I just think the way the stand is shaped and how solid it is would put my mind at rest. The way its shaped looks like it would be alot harder to knock the bike over and I'm already fed up of having to find perfectly flat ground or a dip so I can park up outside a cafe. Really hate that standard stand...

There seems to be a business opportunity, has anyone looked into importing a bunch of stands from the US.
The amount the one on e-bay is going for it seems like someone could import a bunch sell them on and still make a profit without charging a fortune for them.

having woken up this morning, and having thought that my pubes were going grey, I decided that I should do a few other D-Rider like things
so, I used the search facility
ood afternoon all, i have recently had an enquiry about this side stand business, and looking at your forum proves it to be correct that the side stand will fit, i am part of a honda dealership and would like to supply them if you want them, i can do the bar itself and the bolt, for £55 including postage (UK Main Land) postage will vary for other countries, that gives you a 20% discount on the parts themselves.
So you know were legitament i run the website
www.coxhonda.co.uk and we are part of the CoxMotorGroup based in Lancaster,

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

At £55 I'd probably modify another one instead, but I'm known for being a tight ass...
AJ Sutton do genuine and some aftermarket parts for all manufacturers. Used them in the past.

tbh - modifying a gixxer stand costs around the same - once you have one to do!
the vtr stands are cheaper - IF you can find one....

Has anyone tried David silver spares. They used to be cheap.

Can pick up a gixxer stand for £20-£30 (I just can't figure out if I need a k1 1000 or k6 600), modifying is just a matter of time and effort, of course being friends with a garage also helps depending on what needs done.
The stand is next on my list.

Hondas have to be over 10 years old before DS will stock spares for them, so we have a couple of years to go before they could be available from DS.
