Since returning to riding I have noticed one main thing to when I last road 9 or so years ago, there is little or no acknowledgement between riders I know flashing went out of favour years ago but a simple nod is not that much to ask.

Has it as I fear gone the way of the Dodo :smt017

I have word from a Mr Segway that the camaraderie between mobility scooter riders is second to none ..... this mode of transport really is the way forward.

.... and back to the topic. I've found the friendly wave of years gone by seems to have died a death - however it does seem to have been replaced by a more subtle nod. That practice seems to be alive and well - at least around these parts.
It even seems to have spread to cars ... that dog Churchill is a really friendly chap .....

.... well they seemed to be nodding during the colder months - though it could just have been shivering very slowly .........

had a long ride this weekend and waved at all other riders and the majority waved or nodded back, even some bad ass HD boys.

Seemed like it was me that was taking the initiative though, sorry days.

I'll wave/nod to anyone on two wheels (and 3, soz BG), no matter what they ride, we are all taking the same risks.

Otto but round here dark visor seems to be a fair indication of a high twat factor

I nod or wave to anyone also - including kids, old ladies and lorry drivers who wave at me (well everyone loves a trike!)

I tend to find the nodding or lack of it tends to be in direct ratio to the prettiness of bike and rider - the ones with matching bike, leathers and helmets are possibly the same ones I see on Poole Quay talking the talk - much too busy showing off to notice me taking a sneaky look at the 300 miles on their year old 1000cc Yama/Kawa/Honda/Suz..................

Maybe they're just too busy trying to stay on to wave?

Were the bad ass HD boys the normal bank managers and accountants like over here, with lots of tassles on jackets, (with Hell's Angels Surrey Chapter on the back) and leather luggage, or do you still get real BAD ASS HD riding Ossies over there?

I try to nod to everybody on less than 4 wheels, though maybe i don't get a nod back due to my dark visor :smt003
