Is it me, or is Pancake Day becoming too commercialised?

The shops have had milk, eggs, and flour on display for months already.

Don't care if it is too commercialised!
I had three home made pancakes, two with sugar and lemon juice then one with Golden Syrup.

Bloody marvelous, the only problem is having to wait 364 days for the next one!

Got home yesterday and we didn't have the requisite ingredients in the house.

I hadn't even realised that Shrove Tuesday had come around.

What makes me chuckle is the packets of pancake mix where you just have to add milk and egg - erm, that's flour then isn't it?
