I'm afraid the point of this exercise totally escapes me. Yes, I know what it's about. But I don't think any of these 'consciousness raising' things work - they usually reach such a small audience that even my husband who has a particular interest , doesn't get to hear about it.

Kind of agree but it's easy to do and at least this year it has got some national coverage so it is getting a bit better :smt003

Nah you're not the only one!! Did think about asking if anyone else was doing it but didn't want people running to the hills fearing a donation request...managing to do quite well so far!!

**** the negative comments, there's a heck of a lot doing it and if you bother to read the info there's millions been raised of the years and it's building year on year, Wife's Father died a couple of years back so it's close to home!!!! :smt013

...just to confirm the main pic is 'photoshop' creation courtesy of one of our talented artists!

I know a few doing this - a (bike riding) friend at work, a friend from church and those of you from here that have come out of the woodwork.
I would do it myself but those of us that seldom contribute to the wealth of Gillette or Wilkinson Sword are rather excluded other than by sponsoring (unless we shaved beforehand - and that would be too horrendous for the world to witness).
Well done to you for raising awareness and raising funds - it's certainly for a good cause

Well I'm very glad to admit I was totally wrong - was on national tv this morning with Charlie Boorman (Boardman?) and another bloke!

I'm doing it. Its irritating the shit out of me I have to admit (gone for a Paul Teutul Snr type tash). Really support the cause as my Uncle succumbed to prostate cancer but can't wait until Wednesday when I can shave it off!

My wife however is amused that I now have more hair on my head than I have had at any point in the 8 years we have been together (i started going bald at 21 and it was pretty much gone by the time we met when i was 25!)
