In fairness, people's lives change, priorities have to change and new directions have to be taken.
Jake is still there behind the scenes sorting the server side for us btw..

And nostalgia is fun but it's just a glance at the past - got to keep moving forward!

Thanks Sam - this is the only forum I contribute to. Great people, reliable advice and good banter. Keep it up.

As someone who was at RS from before the begining of time... and is still here - you seem a little peeved, bitter and taking the whole thing personally. The amount of background day to day work in running a site is often underestimated and as personal priorities change the agravation of running/moderating and de-spamming a busy site can become the final straw on something that may have become longer a joy to be involved with.
FYI Over time Torquesite became a new version of the KESSY Crew and has now moved to another location where the overhead is dealt with by someone else. The people still ride together, meet up in real life, drink real beer and talk real live bollox :) ... the online part of that group has become a tool for organising meets and the occasional random ramblings. Many of us post elsewhere and are active on other forums but we have moved on.
I dont claim to understand all of the background on the original owners moving on and I know there was random bitchyness between the two "factions" at the time but we have all moved on ... RS is here in a splendid new encarnation and I for one am prepared to look back and smile and then ride on into the future...
Fek I got a bit poetical at the end... sorry

Apparently "When the seagulls follow the trawler, it is because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea".

Yes, I do take it personally when certain people leave, form what I see as an 'opposition' site and try and detract from this one. Do you think the 'bitching' about RS wasn't noticeable back in the day? Whatever the reasons, it was more work to set up a new site with the same aggravation, running/moderation and de spamming than to stay here and try and make the original 'better'..... only then to pretend nothing has happened (even concerning the random bitchiness) and attempt a 'hug' fest on Facebook or the likes!
Bitter? Yes I am.... toward certain people but that's MY personal choice, I obviously haven't moved on!

.... but it is a bit "Ancient History" now - from before the time that most of us found our way here.
The most important thing is how it is now.

I was blissfully unaware of the forum's (apparently) turbulent history. Ever since I've been here (2008 onwards) it's been great; loads of useful information, people having a laugh and no-one being an arse or stirring the sh1t...
Long may it continue.

No one stirring shit - bollocks, I must get a bigger spoon!
It's a good place - and it's made by the users - the admins etc just facilitate....
