There's been a post in the events forum for a while now, but I don't know how many of you never venture out of the General forum, so as a pointer....

I'm up at Griff's again on the 29th July for our monthly tune-up and valet session, but so far only have one person booked in. We need another three bikes to make this happen.

Cost is £90, and for that you'll get a showroom condition bike that's running at it's absolute best.
Ring Aprilia Performance to book in: 01827 285500

This has now been moved to FRIDAY 29TH JULY to try and attract a bit more interest.

I valet the bike, bringing it back up to as good a condition as possible, I aim for better-than-showroom condition. That takes about 2.5 hours.

Griff gets his diagnostic kit and spanners out and spends another hour or so getting the engine running optimally, syncronising the throttle bodies, trimming the CO pots if need be and generally checking that everything's as it should be engine-wise.

No where else we know of offers these services together, and certainly you'll struggle to find a higher level of workmanship, we're both perfectionists.

not for July but definitely for future

Hi Nooj

I'm dropping the Oz wheels off tomorrow for Griff to Powdercoat them, the idea is then to call back in a few weeks later to get them fitted onto the bike, if you liase with Griff as to weather this could be done on the 29th i'd be happy to have the Valet done on the same day if that's do-able??

Griff had it in for a once over earlier this year so if it helps be happy to have just the Valet if it makes it more cost effective for you?

29th eh.. That'll be pay day then :smt003 . When's the absolute latest I'd need to book? I'm not sure if it's this month my tax-rebate is coming through or next months. I'll know when I get my pay slip at the beginning of that week. If I do, then I'm up for a day of having the Falco pampered. :smt004

All bookings, liasings etc. are done by Sharon at the shop, so you'll need to ring her to book yerselves in. 01827 285500.

I'm sure the wheel fitting could be done instead of a tune-up, check with Sharon though, she's the decision maker for this venture.

Latest you can book in by is... just before the last space has gone.

That's cool, reason it's just Sharon in charge of bookings is so we don't end up double booking ourselves, or both of us booking the same person in twice not knowing the other person's doing it as well.

If she's not there when you drop in, I'm sure Griff himself will see you right :smt001

Just heard back from Sharon and i'm booked in, so long as the wheels are there as well to be fitted so i can do it all in one hit, if it's done early enough i'd like to shoot off down to Silverstone to watch WSB qualifying.

Be good to meet you Nooj

Takes about 2.5 hours to do a proper job, so if you can get there first thing that should see you away by about midday at the latest after all the work's been done.

Righty-ho, got two people booked in, but need two more for this day to happen. If you want to have the works done, can you ring the shop and get booked in by 22nd July!

:smt001

would love to but ...

having spent the housekeeping I have to keep a low profile on bike spends for a while plus will only be picking up the newer faster bronze one a day or two before

Translated = will be skint but would love to otherwise :) :smt005

Will do. Got any local bike mates that would like this doing? It's not an exclusive Aprilia thing.
