Wonder if this is going to spread? I can see some reason for charging more to cover a pillion, but just refusing to insure?

I think every policy I have had has always mentioned pillion cover, and been asked when taking it out whether or not I want it included. However i get the impression that this works in a similar way to having commuting cover; although it could be used as an excuse to increase the premium it rarely (in my experience at least) makes a lot of difference.
Can't see any sense in refusing cover altogether, that's just turning down business for no good reason - if anything it would slow most people down.

They will have a good reason (losing money) - if there was money in it for them insurance companies would be the 1st in line to grab it.

What i meant was that I would have thought they would see it as another add-on that could be used as an excuse to charge more money, as opposed to just flat refusing.Paulh wrote:back_marker wrote:
