:smt003 I had looked at that years ago but at the time phpbb (the forum) didnt cross over to mobile very well.

I guess we could revisit it maybe. I will look into what options we could go for there. Good idea!

The trouble was phpbb wont cross over to WAP from what I recall, I'll investigate and get back with an answer or a solution..

Just split this from the other thread it was in as I feel this could merit it's own :smt001

What would we want in a mobile version of ARS/RS? The full Site, updates? Just the portal page? https://www.ridersite.com/portal.php ?

I think that if we update to the more recent version of phpbb then that has an option for mobile browsing?

Failing that taptalk?

Trouble is with phpBB3, as I found out with another Site, there'll be many people who wont like it and wont get on with it. The files can be crossed over ISTR from phpBB2 (although a later version of 2 than this is..)

I've used 3 before, so admin side is fine, but it IS quite different from the user side.

I think the main thing is to get this version squared first then look to maybe upgrading across to phpBB3 later. There's no reason that the apriliaridersite page on facebook cant be used but it would be disjointed from here as there's no way of cross posting twixt the two or maintaining usernames..

Tapatalk operates with phpBB3 not our current board. :smt012

This is a lot like reading Shakespeare or the REME Tiffy course - I recognise all of the words but they make very little sense :smt017

:smt005

We've got a Mk 4 Cortina, (This forum)

If we upgrade it to a Mk 5 (The later version of this forum's software )

then we can swap the interior and engine into a Sierra XR4i. (The phpBB3 forum)

We can then add a CB radio in the slot above the Small waste receptacle and below the stereo and tint the windows (Mobile access/taptalk)
