Well not much in this one..

Hopefully the new discount schemes and insurance links have been of use, please do give feedback and let us know! - I'm still waiting on a response from the Aussie parts site, but that wont happen til they've gone live. HOPEFULLY they will be of use, the guy i'm dealing with is very upbeat and happy to help out!

Insurance, still awaiting a response from a couple. I'll phone them this week as theyre dragging their heels. Annoying as theyre ones Ive used before on another site.

There's plans afoot to revamp the Aprilia Tech area. We have a wealth of Information but it seems it's not always easy to find. Hopefully a few tweaks will help there and bring the Tech area into a better semblance of order. The search facility does work, but I guess if you've got a problem, without knowing the cause, it's quite hard to define the search to give the answer. Like I said, a few tweaks to layout should make it more library-like and easier to navigate. We're often used as a reference site as far as Aprilia V60 problems go, due to the quality of the info you blokes have inputted into the Site. It's quite a nice feeling seeing a reference leading back to ARS from one of the *alleged* top Aprilia sites..
Anyways, Admins are investigating methodology and stuff (In other words D-R and Alad are looking into it) That's a 'wait out' as it's not something that can be readily fixed in minutes few and takes a bit of planning.

I may run a poll on Aprilia RS branded stuff. We've had it in the past and it was quite good, especially way back when RS had a raceteam. It might be worthwhile revisiting that sort of stuff, subject to interest. There's some great cameraderie amongst the members of the site and ARS supplies a LOT of info and passion into the Aprilia Scene. Why not show who you are
..I will probably get a Tshirt made up for Alad..

'A Mille rider? Do you carry a donor card?'

I may also look into some new style Renegade Tshirts and Decals too. The company may for all intents and purposes be no more, but the legend definately lives on and has a rather hardcore cult following for those in the know..
If that goes ahead then any profits from those will most probably go to a charity I have in mind. Im trying to get hold of Jorge at the moment to get his go-ahead on the Renegade stuff.

Anyways, thats about it, still waiting for some serverside tech support behind the scenes which is due soon. I know Jake is busy so that's more of a planned thing than something that's 'overdue to have occurred'.

Rofl

And yes Andy and myself are looking at stuff... Trouble is as soon as we start chatting the piss taking starts and then we forget other stuff... So it's all Jadaris' fault

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Half the problem is that I've been looking at the Aprilia Technical stuff and Pete's been perusing back copies of "What Donkey Monthly"

You know when the missus says, 'Oh youre sorting your bike? Why not let your little toddler son help you..'

Theyre that sort of helper... :smt002 :smt002

Just kidding, Theyre doing stuff behind the scenes..behind the scenes.. I just daren't ask what.. but their help/support/prescence is most valued.

He vetoed our idea to have a smurf zone with it's own moderator.... And he refused to wear the blue cap.....

and to give people a little insight into some of the stuff we do....

tim has very kindly made a rota for andy and i - so one of us has to make his tea in the morning and, once we have run his sink, we have to wash his back.....

once the master is washed and dressed, we are then allowed to get on with our secretarial duties - recently tim has allowed us to help prune the guest list for the roayal wedding - his original remit of an "Arsehole free zone" meant that any kind of large church was no longer needed... he has since relented a little bit so politicians etc will be allowed in

(Tim is very serious about Her Maj - or, as he calls her BOSS).

******

in all seriousness the main stuff we do is around the amount of spam accounts - as you are aware this is huge - north of 100 per calendar day....
rather interestingly, since one of my titles was changed to nursey - eyes the other admins - we have recently had a few spam accounts set up for phlebotomy services etc.... so the robots that create these are quite clever....
Some of the spam accounts are easy to spot - username klhgnm.mkjhgyt from papua new guinea is not likely to be real after all.....

some of the others need a bit more checking - some are very plausible
