Clutch Line Quesiton

Are the Tuono clutch lines longer than the standard Falco one's?
I need a slightly longer clutch line to use with the radial clutch master cylinder and was wondering if the Tuono one would be a good fit?
Anyone know whats happened to MPL slave cylinders? There used to be loads on evilbay that you could bid on! Thought as I’m doing the master cylinder and braided lines, I might as well go the whole way and replace the slave un all.

Yes, Tuono clutch lines are quite a bit longer. No idea what's happened to MPL.

Hi all,
MPL has removed their swag from fleebay, they are in the process of producing their own website in english

If you can speak the lingo (German) the website is easy too access and purchase...
Around 110 euro's for those babies now

Just ordered a clutch line today from Hel (using the forum 25% discount) to fit with my radial master cylinder. I have gone for a 45degree banjo at the master cylinder end and a line 4cm longer than standard (no extra cost for this being a special).... I'm hoping I've estimated correctly. I should know by the end of the week - when clutch and brake lines arrive.
Got a really good impression of them when I spoke to them on the phone (yesterday and today) - I talked with Shaun (?) Sean (?) - the same chap that Furyganman set up the discount with.

Great info Andy, I dropped those guys an email today asking about an extra long clutch line, not got back to me yet might give um a call. I asked about an extra 7cm, again just guess work really but 4cm sounds more like it. I'll wait it out and see how you get on
The 45 degree banjo sounds good, when you've got it all installed it would be good to see a couple of pics if you can Andy, cheers.

Would have been a longer line if I didn't go for the 45 degree banjo (going for 70 degree on the brake side)
Looking at where the banjo bolts to the master cylinder (further outboard than the standard MC) I think a 45 degree will be about perfect.
These different angled banjos were their suggestion - I thoroughly recommend talking to Shaun.
That said, I'm just hoping my estimations are about right ..... should find out soon ....

Hoses arrived this morning.
Very impressed by the service from Hel.
Phoned them 4pm Monday, rang them back Tuesday morning to confirm some details.
Custom made brake and clutch lines ..... same price as standard lines ..... 25% forum discount.
All banjo bolts and copper washers included too
Arrived Thursday morning ..... and they were really helpful and a pleasure to deal with.
.... not sure I will be as efficient at getting them fitted ..... though I'll get you those pictures as soon as I can Oli.

OK ..... delay over .....
Have now fitted:
- Front Brakes:
- 4-pad callipers - serviced before being fitted
New Sunstar Discs
Hel braided hoses (70degree banjos at master cylinder, straight banjos at callipers, Right hose: 62cm, Left hose: 67cm)
Brembo racing radial master cylinder (not the normal RSVR radial master)
Renewed brake fluid
Clutch:
- RSVR radial master cylinder
Hel braided hose (4cm longer than stock, 45degree banjo at master, 90degree at slave)
(already got an MPL on there)
Verdict:
- Front Brakes:
- Hoses fit but would have been more comfortable if a little longer - right side OK but an extra 1cm would do no harm, left side would be more comfortable 2cm longer. That said they are not tight.
Angle of brake lever is more horizontal than I would like but there is no choice due to the lever/span adjuster contacting the front fairing sub-frame at full lock if tilted further.
Had them on a few days now
Compared to previous standard setup (Brembo 2-pad callipers, freudenberg hoses and standard master cylinder), there might be a small improvement - need more time to assess but it's certainly not a "night and day" difference.
I did note recently when I cleaned up the "buttons" on my discs and cleaned the pistons on the standard callipers etc that I found it hard to see there was much room for further improvement ..... guess I was right.

It fits but is perhaps a bit longer than it needs be (maybe 1-2cm at a guess).
Whereas the fast-idle control screws in to the side of the standard clutch lever bracket, there is no facility for this with the radial master.
Performance ..... dunno - not had time to ride it yet.
Also changed the fluid in the rear brake.
