Quite seriously, I'm thinking of installing a woodburner in the house in France, so we can have some heat if/when we visit in the colder parts of the year. I'd also like to get one with a back burner, but that seems to add a fair bit of complication and cost.
Do they chew through the wood, or is iit manageable? Do you need a ruddy great woodpile out back to keep it fed?

Becareful with those firefox things - they tend to freeze up alot.
