I have been a biker for over 30 years and I wouldn't buy a helmet without first trying it on,

so with this in mind I offer a "try before you buy" service.
We all know too well how some helmets just "don't" fit.

I have tried mirror extenders, different mirrors, I even considered a rearview camera system, (I currently ride a V twin Aprilia Falco sports tourer*) but all to no avail!

I could see a bit better but not enough and the mirror image became blurred, then I discovered the MSX1, problem solved.

I considered them Alad, but they don't come (as standard) with built in indicators so for me, not Blingtastic enough

Saying that I think my bike needs a good Nooj, It is looking a little bit sorry for itself at the moment .

Now if I could just sort some adaptor plates.

i would like to try one of these helmets - and also see how they work while wearing glasses....

I love the idea too ... all that's holding me back is that I really like my current helmet (though recognising it would be better if it gave me eyes in the back of my head).
.... also since moving to a carbon shell I get a lot less neck problems and would hate to contemplate a heavier helmet .... and can't run to the cost of one of these in carbon ....

Wayne - it might be worth you trying to get to one or two of our forum meet-ups with a helmet or two so you can show us the real benefits ... as your website says, seeing is believing. I'd certainly like to have a look ....
It sounds as though there will be a decent turn-out at the Marches meet that Mart is organising, we usually get a good turn out at Newark and I hope we'll get a good number to the Norfolk bash.

Other opportunities might be the Club Aprilia Weekend and Griff's Aprilia Performance Day - both of those you could contact the organisers to see if you could have a stand or something (both tend to be well attended and Nooj does his Shiney Bike stuff at them too)

Just some thoughts - it's up to you

Some questions:

1. where can i try one one?

2. Why is the styling so boring?

3. What are they like in crask tests?


Also - if you want a PROPER website making for you're franchise Moose - let me know. Im sure we can come up with some sort of arrangement.

I "nearly" made a couple of the meets last year, I am intending to make at least one this year to put faces to avatars, the "March" one looks good, but things change .

1/ PM me your address and head size I will bring one to show you, if you don't live tooo far from me.

2/ Aerodynamics, The styling is Italian, if you are refering to the colour schemes I am sure they will add fancy paint in the future.

I really like my satin black one, however I have never been interested in the race rep colours (or the extra ££££ they cost ).

3/ The mirror is made from a polycarbonate material which I am told is bullet proof, and the shell is made from tri composite carbon, please follow this link for more info http://www.reevu.com/safety.asp.

A couple of other things I have noticed is how quiet it is (compared to my other two, Laser (flip) & Viper (flip + bluetooth)).

Also I have a double bubble screen and with the viper I found my head being buffeted alot, with the Reevu it doesn't happen (I have however only ridden it about four times with the new helmet).

I have another question Moose,

How does this cope with shining headlights at night time? in a car you would flip the tab to take away the glare, how does the reevo get around this? wouldnt want to be blinded at night!

I have not ridden at night so cannot honestly answer, the rear "visor" is anti-glare (and you can get it in different colours including smoked/black).

I was asked about "how do you cope with the sun," last week when I had stopped for a brew? Oh how we like our cuppa

I had not given it any thought at that time, so on the way home (with the sun behind me) I checked and even (don't try this at home kids) looking directly at the sun I wasn't blinded, I did however also have sunglasses on!

This also showed the sky behind me, which in this part of the world could be useful as plod use the helicopter against motorists.

The main thing about the mirror is that have to look up to see behind you (for those of us that have one? look up at your fringe now ) so not in your line of sight.

If you had some git in a cage behind you on full beam, it would be the same with the helmet as your wing mirrors (car or bike) you would move your head so you couldn't be blinded***
