It's almost unbelievable that any mother would not know that the daffodils in the park are not for picking - almost! But tbh there are so many ignorant people out there that it's almost believable too!
It's certainly right that the police should be called to explain to these parents that their children shouldn't pick the daffs - in this day and age if the councillor had approached the mum himself he would probably have laid himself open to a charge of causing harassment alarm and distress!

I liked the Telegraph's take on it.
The Mail's online headline was as usual, a complete crock of shit.
'The daffodil police: Officers swoop on three little girls picking flowers in park'

Call me ignorant then... I didn't know daffs were a forbidden flower, although kiddo never picks them in a park, just mine, which I give her grief about! same difference though, I'm obv ignorant

Theyre not forbidden as such, not like Bluebells or whatever they are, just when the council have planted them theyre protected as they belong to the council.. or the ones outside my front window that I planted..
