Same old same. Clubs got no money to spend on decent players, so they blame the manager. Useless.. They'll be going down with Preston.

Different this time Will.
Coventry have managed the same level of mediocrity over many seasons and there has been little difference from one manager to the next (other than with Eric Black who they dumped for the "big name" Peter Reid). As you point out, with no money to spend on players no manager is going to make a big difference. From one sacking to the next I've always been of the view that it won't help much.
So why do I say this is different. Well, having sat through just about every home game for best part of 15 years, I've never sat through such uninspiring play week in and week out while Boothroyd has been in charge. It's the mind-numbingly boring tactics that Boothroyd has employed that has made it so depressing.
Whoever comes next is unlikely to bring a massive change in fortunes but it might make things worth watching - win or loose.

Easy tactic.. Win.. Play the ball around so it ends up in the opposite net.. simples *squeek*

Alan Irvine is now free, he never had boring tactics whilst he was with us, mainly because he never seemed to have any tactics, so should suit you fine.
Otherwise we are in the same situation as you, no money no decent players, keep changing the manager, just got less debts now!
Why do we love our football clubs through all this pain?

Come on Pete, it's much worse for us Owls and Coventry supporters, you lot have had your share of success, even if not as much recently.
You've got no idea what pain is!

Just remembered seeing them play Cov at Hillsborough in the FA semi's in 87, i remember it was a cracking game 3-2 i think. I was living in York the year Leeds won the championship in the 90's...so you've not done too bad, at least you have the right person in charge!
