Quote:
Collins' announcement was in response to a series of "distorted" articles that had erroneously painted him as "a tormented weirdo", he added

He ought to be tormented, for all the torment he's put music-lovers through

I would say it was Gabriel who ruined Genesis because he left.

Did you know - the Honda Deauville, instead of using an ignition key, is swiped with a Phil Collins CD?

I liked some of his stuff, but some was a bit crap too.

Sting on the other hand should never have left teaching.

One of the 1st gig's I went to was the Police. If it hadnt been for the Cramps as support I'd have happily erased the evening from memory.

I like The Police, the three of them worked together really well, Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland are incredibly talented musicians, Sting made a good front man and could actually play the Bass well. I just think Sting's solo stuff is dire tedious tripe.

And it was Peter Gabriel who left Genesis to look after his son. And pretty much all of the quality 70's bands got shit in the 80's. I still don't like Phil Collins though.

He is a good drummer.

He should have stuck to that.

Genesis were great until he opened his gob. :smt003

The Police were great but a solo Sting is just mince. Although he was good in Quadrophenia.

I only learned recently Phil Collins is english! Ha ha! Always assumed he was american for some reason. Quite like his stuff though.

Police and Sting I do like. But then I would being from Wallsend, being brought up listening to all his stuff............and my Dad being one of his mates too. He's a nice bloke, his wife is a pain in the arse. :smt003
