Back when I was riding with L plates on my little stroker, I had a dog come running out of a gateway on my left. I was doing about 60 at the time and braked like hell so I don't know what speed we hit - it got past my front wheel and hit the brake pedal and footpeg, both were bent back! I did a lot of snaking up the road but didn't come off - never been so surprised in my life! (at not coming off that is!)

Dunno what happened to the dog, I was too busy to notice and it was gone by the time I stopped.
