I got back 10 days ago from 2 weeks in Andalucia, it was a really nice break from the weather here, and a really relaxing holiday.
It's a great time to get away, hope you enjoy the cruise, sure you will!

Well back to work now.

Had a terrific time, weather was great for the whole trip and the bank balance is now considerably lighter as the wife had a field day shopping.

Stopped at Lisbon, Palma De Mallorca, Barcelona, Livorno, Rome, Naples, Cagliari (Sardinia), Gibraltar and Cadiz and had the chance to have a good look around all of them.

Arrived back in the channel 8 hours earlier than planned as the Captain was aware some severe weather heading into the Bay of Biscay which could have made things interesting, and wanted to try and keep ahead of it so we spent the day doing figure of 8's off the south coast between Bournemouth and Plymouth (Dammed sure we must have worn that bit of sea out :smt002 )

Just meant that we missed seeing the mardi gras in Cadiz which looked interesting.

Now it is a case of ploughing through 360+ emails

Welcome back TC, glad you had a terrific time.
The worst thing about coming back is that it soon seems that it happened a long while ago.
Get another one booked, it's alway better to have something to look forward to.

The wife is already looking at doing the Carribean from Southampton :smt012 Down to Maderia, turn right and keep going :smt003

If anyone is interested in knowing what the Independence of the Seas is like aboard, you may enjoy seeing these.

These are not my pictures, but they were taken by someone on the same trip as me

Seems like a great holiday, glad you enjoyed it.
I woke up to 1/2" of snow covering everything!
No bike run this weekend then. :smt013

Can't wait for my next holiday.

OMG my mother was on that cruise! She's off on another the end of March ... tell me you don't know her or at least ARE having a secret affair with her? My father is desperate for her to meet someone who will foot the bills for her cruises :smt003
