Has anyone heard from Falcopops?

#1 Post by D-Rider » Mon Jan 03, 2011 10:23 pm

I note that Dale hasn't posted for a while and also suddenly stopped doing the daily quiz (which he was doing regularly)

Aware that he's moved to Queensland, I wonder whether he's battling floods?

If anyone has any news .....

There's a lot of Queensland under water at the moment - an area larger than France and Germany combined according to the news people - and Townsville (where FalcoPops is hiding) was expecting flash floods just before New Year's Eve.

I've just sent Dale a text message and will post the reply here as soon as I get one.
It's the V-twin thing. There's just something about it that inline-4s don't have at all, and V-4s don't have enough of.

:smt006

I'm still in Melbourne, don't head north 'till the 10th.

Townsville's been ok so far according to the news, Rockhampton has taken the brunt, but is a long way south of Townsville.

Only water I've had to contend with is swimming in the pool and sea to combat the heat :smt004

Thanks for your concern, I'll let you know how the tropics are when I get back.

:smt003 Thats good news. I had visions of the first falco jetski zooming/wooshing/sailing up behind some reporter on the news.. or worse.. mainly a falco jetski though.

10th? Thats when you head to the wetter bit and I head back to the desert.. Mwahaha..

As Dale has said - he's safe and sound here in Melbourne for a few more days.

I did get a bit worried as his text message was chopped off suddenly - "don't think flooding..."

Either way, it's good to know he's OK.

I wondered what happened to that text message!

I was nearly done and got distracted (one of the kids shot me with a nerf gun) so must have accidentally pressed the send button before it was done.

I hope you shot them back!

turns out I'm very very accurate with them. Mrs Falcopops and I set up targets when the kids are in bed and have competitions, the practice comes in handy for when the kids are moving quickly :smt071 :smt077

Just got back from two weeks in Spain and was thinking about you, when I saw the news footage from Queensland, as I thought you had already moved.
Glad you are OK mate and only getting wet in the pool!
Hope the move went OK.

Glad to hear you and yours are OK Dale. Looks bad down there - some scary looking vids on the internet. Keep safe!
The ride is the reason ........ the destination is just the excuse.
