We have an unfinished joke that's bugging us. On the way back from holiday today, we stopped in a motorway services. My wife went to the ladies and heard a little boy trying to attract his mum's attention to a joke. He kept saying, "Mu-um, why did the banana cross the road?". Over and over, he said "Mu-u-u-um, do you know why the banana crossed the road?" Finally, the mum replied, "No, why did the banana cross the road?"
As the little boy started to give the answer, his mum put her hands under the drier and my wife couldn't hear the answer.
She asked me if I know why the banana crossed the road, but I have no idea, and my brain hurts trying to think of a funny answer.
Does anyone out there have any idea why the banana could possibly cross the road. My fear is it is just a little boy made up one and doesn't really have an answer.
Not Overheard in a Services!
