Previous Owner

Anyone live in THAT London?

More particularly in SE12?

The previous owner of my baby lives there and I'd like to speak to him regarding the history of the bike. Usual stuff. Has it got any Service History. What did he use it for. That sort of stuff. And to let him know that she's found a good home too and isn't going to be broken for spares (if he cares).

I've tried looking him up in the Phonebook but drawn a blank so maybe he's ex-directory or doesn't have a landline.

Thought about sending a letter but I'm not sure how that would go down, especially as Bess was an insurance write off (Cat D).

What do you think? Can anyone help?

Cheers

Rob.

As legal owner u can write to DVLA and request owner history. They'll charge you a fiver I think. I did this with an old MGB I was restoring.

Good luck.

Owner History? Does that mean all of the owners that have ever been named keepers? If so then it's a bit useless (no disrespect) as she's a 1 owner from new bike - well 2 now. :smt003

Is there any way of tracing the service history without contacting the previous owner? Or would I need to know the garage it was serviced at for that?

Misread, thought you didn't know his address.

I think you've answered your own question though... just send him a letter.

If it's only had one previous owner he should be noted on your registration doc shouldn't he?
