it's amazing that whatever system they can't tell the difference between a parked car and one travelling at 37mph
Makes you wonder if it can actually tell what speed any vehicle is travelling at!

We had a local case where a lorry driver was sent a fine from a local camera and succesfully contested it by seeing the photos and doing the calculations. Their excuse was that it was something to do with a reflection from a bus stop - but I see they haven't moved either the bus stop OR the camera - wonder how many more innocent motorists have just paid up!

They sure do. It is always worth requesting the evidence. I had one recently where it was a different model of the same make car, with a single character different in the number plate.

Before I received the evidence I had initially accepted that it was my car. It could well have been me as it was a reasonably local road but I didn’t think I had been out that way at the time stated, so I queried it.
