Not sure what I'll replace her with at the moment. To be honest since losing my best mate in August the desire to go out just hasn't been there. I haven't fallen out of love with biking of course, but maybe a review on what I want from biking is in order.

I'd be happy to stick around here of course (if everyone is happy with that)

Hope you get get things sorted in your head soon, it is something that is very difficult to deal with and will take time.
Most of us think we would probably carry on in this situation, but ................
If it never totally goes out of your head, how can you carry on?

Strangely, I bought my Falco off a copper who had decided to pack it in because his best mate had been killed two weeks earlier and he just wanted the bike out of the garage as quickly as possibile, before he thought about riding it again.

rich i for one would be happy for you stick around.but are you sure your giving it enough time, i know you must be devastated and only you will know what's best. since loosing my son in february i've lost all interest and only been on it four times since.but deep down i know i'm missing it and i hope i want to ride next year. i know what ross would want and i bet your mate would want the same.

I hope you do stick around, your comments are always informative and often entertaining Wish I had the money to buy the T from you and give it a good home - there can't be a better example out there. Anyway, you need to be here so I can take the p**s when Town make a late run and pip LUFC to the top

Cheers Dave, appreciate your support. I was tempted to mention the Utd v town game, but to be fair town are the best side to have visited Elland Rd this season. Luckily the woodwork spared our blushes. It won't be the same at the Galpharm in Feb I reckon though, we owe you a drubbing

Yep stick around!

If you feel like parting with the bike then do it - there are plenty of bikes out there if you change your mind sometime.

Not quite the same thing but when my dad died one christmas we ripped down and threw out all the decorations, family ones that had been collected over the years and quite special. We kinda missed them later and almost wished we hadn't but it was the right thing to do at the time cos that was how we felt.

As the others have said, stick around Rich - you're part of the furniture!

As for the Tuna-bike, it might be (financially) worth keeping it in the garage for a few more months until the fair-weather faeries come out of hibernation and are looking for their toy for the next season.
Just a thought - but you'll know whether you prefer to be shot of it sooner.

Hi Rich - Please keep in touch. It must be difficult when you lose a family member or friend as a result of indulging our hobby and passion - I can't imagine what effect it must have. Having just lost my mum I know what it's like even when you think you're prepared for it.

Whoever takes your T will have probably the best example and cared for machine the the country - bar none I reckon.

Keep in touch and have a happy and peaceful Christmas.
