Yes, that's what I heard as well.

This might be good news for them not completely wrecking the Donnington track but I fear for its future.
If they've lost the car GP and lost the bike GP and spent a lot of money .... then have they the wherewithal to survive financially.
This could be even worse than making it into a car track.

Only if you like riding around a track that is partially dug up!
Evidently the 2010 WSB round is now in serious doubt as they do not seem to have the funding for the circuit changes and they are unlikely to have any income in the near future with no track available. it is starting to sound nasty now!

Exactly as I feared .....
For one of the world's best bike tracks, this is a tragedy

Heard on local radio today that East Midland airport are to extend the runway to take heavier planes, but which way are they going to extend.
Donington Park one end of the runway and the M1 the otyher end.
What with Tom Wheatcroft dying Saturday and now this news, who knows what could happen.

Yeh, but I'd rather watch Rossi and Stoner etc., and forget the Jumbos!

What's the betting that a 79-year old dwarf winds up in control of the circuit?
