I'm currently reading 'Jupiter's Travels' - the story of Ted Simon's 4 year trip round the world on a Triumph, which he began in 1973 or thereabouts.

Anyone who hasn't read it really should, I'm fascinated! And now I know why I wasn't terribly impressed with the trips made by the two actor chappies........

That reminds me - the mrs bought me a second hand copy years ago and I've still not read it ... must try to find it .....

Awesome read, my old man pointed me at it years ago, then refused point blank to let me get a bike even although he had toured most of Europe with my mum on 350 Royal Enfields and Triumphs.

Inspirational stuff, a true biker can't not read it and think about trying it.

I'll never forget the episode when Ted has had an illness for some time and eventually has to visit a local quack. The quack asks him to cough, Ted obliges, the quack diagnoses a cough and sends him off. Priceless.

Superb
