My daughter's got her 4 A-levels, and her Uni place at Aberdeen is confirmed! Best news in ages!
Feels weird - my little girl's a young woman, about to leave the nest. Don't know where the years have gone.
Another bonus - now I've got a destination for a bike trip to Scotland.

What's she going to be studying in Yaber-daber-deen ?

Excellent news
Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Well done indeed to Ms. MartDude!
It's the V-twin thing. There's just something about it that inline-4s don't have at all, and V-4s don't have enough of.

Thanks guys.
I realise I'm not the only father in this position. But it's the first time it's happened to me!
I feel sorry for those students who, through no fault of their own, have missed out. Another Government cock-up!

Good result that.. AND getting in a Scottish Uni (no fees? or that a myth?).
My daughter went through Uni at Nottingham, came out OK, then lived with her boyfriend, that went OK, then bought their own house, OK so far, then had her first baby and my first Grandson (he's great), then got married... now expecting baby no 2!
The start of a long journey for you that just keeps getting better.
Wish her all the best luck in the world.

I'm a proud dad of three fine girls who are also fullfilling their potential but there is a fine line between that and heartbreak. So I hope you "stay lucky".
