got a phone call from two wheels today and was told that there suppliers of aprilia parts hav'nt come across this problem before and are not prepared to replace the bracket under warranty.
so if anyone one here or other aprilia forums have had a problem with the bracket cracking could you let me know details including year of your bike and the date.
my email is ian.johnson15@btinternet.com thanks.

good luck - and contact aprilia direct?

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Sorry Ian, I've not had a similar problem.

Can't see why they think they can avoid sorting out your problem just because they haven't been inundated by them.
Maybe that means it's not an inherent design flaw but that doesn't mean it's not a quality issue.

Ian, sorry to hear of your problem with this one.. how long ago did they do the work? Also, if it is an insurance job, have you informed the insurers? Personally, I think someone here is taking the piss. Just because a part breaks it does not automatically make it your problem!

I wonder if the repairers sourced a used one, but charged full price?

I bet, if thats the case, Brittany Ferries would have something to say about it.
