The weather forcasters suggested that we may get a long hot summer this year, think we had that a couple of weeks ago.
Back in South Yorkshire we seem to have turned the clock back to 2007.
Remember all those coloured welly pictures and jokes about claims for flood damage, well it looks like you may need them again.
We had it pretty bad this afternoon, with central Sheffield badly hit, more than 2 feet of water on Park Square roundabout and all bus a tram services supended. Fortunately no rivers have gone over the top yet, it was all down to a very bad storm.
On my way home from Rotherham I had to drive through more than a foot of water on 4 or 5 occasions. Numerous main roads, like the A57 near me totally blocked and lots of people baling their houses out.
I love summer, isn't it nice to get the bucket and spade out, well the bucket anyway. I was lucky, just had to spend an hour baling out the garage.
The Falco never did like sitting in flood water :smt009
Had originally planned to go to either Willingham or South Leverton tonight as well.

So what happened to the Met Office’s bullish forecast of a barbecue summer, with glorious sunshine and scorching temperatures?
Clearly a typo with 'it' missing? :smt002

Weathers been fabulous here for 5 weeks now with the odd downpour. Its 29c in my back garden, but sadly I've been looking at the weather from inside as I've not been well. Ho Hum.

Had enough rain thank you very much!!!!!!
Got absolutely soaked through today.

Just had 3 weeks off work ... my thinking was "flaming June" ... bound to be nice.
Well we've had two or three nice days but overall it's been quite crap.

The weather the week before my holiday was brilliant .... I go back to work on Wednesday .... bet it picks up again then.
