Is anyone not mildly pleased about Brawn F1 being 1 & 2 on the grid? I know I know...

I'm glad to see Jensen Button getting his chance in a car that's competetive - it's up to him now!

I am over the moon that a team who hasn't the clout and money like the ferrari and mclaren's have actually used their grey matter and come up to show the more expensive teams how to "work," the rules & regs :smt016 They are up in arms cause they haven't done it themselves friggin fantastic. Good on BraunGP well done :smt003 Just jealousy really...

Good result! Some overtaking (kind of anyway) for a change. Nul poit for Ferrarri and let's hope Brawn get to keep the victory after the krauts go whining on appeal.

Was tempted to watch it today - the points already made about the Braun team coming up with a package like that in such a short space of time and Button is another one who you want to do well given the talent he has, the crap cars he's been given and the fact that compared to most of them he seems to be something other than a robot.

.... thing is, there was the MotoGP pre-season qualifying session on Eurosport at the same time .... so guess which won ?

Didn't watch it, but just seems like normal F1 to me.
New construction rules that nobody really understands, but they all try to fiddle the best way they can.
New scoring rules brought in not long before the start of the season, meaning that the bloke with the most points may not win the title. If somebody get a good run of wins early in the season we can cancel the rest of the races.
These get changed back late in the day.
Anyway back to Aussie -
Two teams penalised/thrown out before start.
Two more protested, but then protests withdrawn.
Bloke on pole goes away and leads from start to finish, (well done JB!).
Two blokes fighting for 2nd/3rd take their brains out (???) and take each other out 2 or 3 laps from the end.
Hamilton gets a creditable 4th after his lowly start position.
Trulli who was 3rd gets a penalty (after the presentations) and gets demoted, Hamilton ends up 3rd after all.
It's really great to have it back, what was Andy saying about the adrenaline rush.
Falling off a bike is a lot more fun!
Don't laugh Andy!
