I got served in Northern Ireland - in a bar (but I guess that doesn't count)

Went over for a wedding a few years back and stayed the week. Was a nice place to visit .... but a bit different to serving out there .....

Fancy going back someday to one of the road races and visit Joey's bar etc in Ballymoney

NW 200 has always appealed, but finances have been allocated to the IOM as they're so close together. Went to a wedding in Omagh about 3 months before the bomb. It was a bit wierd with all the coloured kerbs letting you know what side was predominant.

Laughed like feck when we were stopped by a patrol (I was a completely pissed) and had a huge argument about whether or not I was required to carry ID with a spotty squaddie. My girlfriend (Catholic) was less than amused and took me aside and pointed out the rifle shaped thing slung over his shoulder, which I then realised was infact a rifle. Sobered up a bit apologised profusely and pissed off on the hurry up.
