Thanks too all concerned, i'm back with something decent to read.
It has been terrible without the pc for a week, having to watch Eastenders and Corrie with the gaffer.
As Kwack said it was a memory thing, mine not the computers, i forgot the password.
I put it down to old age and dementia.
Although the pc should remember the password, but it had to be wiped to get rid of all the bugs.
Anyway thanks again to all who helped, just waiting for the sun and good weather to arrive now.
Then i can really try the EBC wavey discs and Pazzo stubby levers, instead of just a quick spin locally.

I use RoboForm to autofill logins. It also has the option to print off a list :smt002
I think the freebie just limits the number of passwords it will save but I found it good enuff to pay for the full version.
Used it for years and several pooters.

Agreed, but flashdrives are just too damn easy to lose.

I use a gmail account - and forward all my log on info etc to that - that way i can access all my passwords from anywhere if i need to

(I also forward suitable documents, CV's etc to there - can get them at any time that way)
