Well THAT was an interesting trip to the UK....

I couldn't believe the weather forecast after I booked by Chunnel crossing for last Monday! BUT I had the quickest drive ever from Ashford up to the midlands, and then up to the Lancashire coast. Snow = slower car drivers and therefore, paradoxically, a quicker journey. Drove back south Thursday through all that snow, again no problems, making Kent in 3.5 hours from Manchester. France, as usual, hit the motorway and set the cruise control!
I just feel sorry for all the people who were NOT on the motorways and up to their asses in snow - don't worry, spring will soon be here!

Actually, the tyres were part of the reason for the trip. (MOT for the truck, MOT for me as well, bollocking from the Diabetic nurse etc etc). Got a pair of Dunlop Roadtrek A20's for the Land Cruiser, fitted and balanced for £102 each! Company called Black Circles on the Web. Anyone else used them? (They do bike tyres as well, AND you choose your fitting station!)
