I'll give points to anybody who can name ONE GOOD record he has made, perhaps a couple half decent, but nothing I have ever been tempted to buy!

And 'The Passenger' is surely good enough to figure on anyone's list. I think he's at least as good as the man in whose shadow he spent a lot of time; David Bowie.

Raw Power is a seminal album - predating the sex pistols but just as angry

I have seen him play live a few times and he does do a good show :)

is a well covered song - the previous album to Lust for Life was the idiot - not a bad album in its day

Due to my almost manic Bowie collecting I have a lot of Iggy stuff - they worked together a lot over the years

Which reminds me.... hopefully, those travelling to our area June/July MIGHT just catch the summer festival in Carcassonne. Last year we had ZZ Top, Deep Purple, and others (I saw George Benson (OK but a bit girly in bits, the wife likes him) and Massive Attack), they were brilliant but so f**king loud, my tinitus got a whole lot worse. I'll post up who is on when it gets finalised.
