A recent post about a biker's secret parts/accessories buying credit card got me thinking.
I am single so have only myself to answer to but I know many of you are married or attached or whatever.
So the question is...... how honest are you about your biking expenditures ?
I hope I have given enough options and I hope it is possible to remain anonymous should you wish to do so.

I hide nothing. She gets told everything.
The fact she has no say in the matter is besides the point.. She still gets informed of what I buy.
Usually as she has to answer the door to collect the parcels from the Postie when they arrive......

If I told her half of what I spend on me bikes, the balloon would go up big style
Managed to convince her I got the Falco for just over a grand
Got six bikes in the garage now...the trick is to buy it half on your debit card & half on the credit card - thst way, you've only ever got 50% of the damage on one piece of paper

All 3 bikes were in my life before she was

I always try to honest and up front and any serious expenditure is always discussed and approved etc..
No point in lying to the woman who bought me my bike is there?
But......................on the (ahem) accesory / modification front I'm often economical with the true cost(s)

Totally honest.
Of course if she was away on holiday when I bought the second bike, wasn't my fault .... and I did tell her it was in the garage when she got home ..... before she found it.

There isn't an option for me there.
I have no secret accounts - all my money is in joint accounts - although the Mrs has an account of her own.
However, bike related spending most certainly does not get declared ... just not mentioned. Would really not be worth the agro.
I manage to squirrel away bits of cash from time to time (usually by living on sod-all when I go away on business and saving up my subsistence allowances).
This gets spent on bike bits and pieces which get delivered to work
I aim not to lie about such things .... just avoid them becoming a topic of discussion.
Not sure how you score that on the sneaky-dishonest-o-meter

No secret funds, no secrets. Honest.
Anything major gets mentioned (usually for 6 months or so before hand, so she knows it's coming or buys it for me for Xmas

), but bits & pieces (accessories, tools and the like) generally not

Completely honest here on bike stuff- sometimes retrospectively..... "look what I got!!!" .
Having said that the partner involved bought me a bike for my 18th birthday so there is no conflict of interests and its all his own fault!
He didnt even flinch when I bought a huge cooker and coffee machine

She knows everything I spend on bikes, its a joint account, plus of course theres the fact it costs more to keep her car on the road than any bike I've had.

She knows everything except for a set of 54mm throttle bodies I brought 2 years ago (cost £250)

Well I ticked the last option - but multiple ticks would suit me better!
Sometimes, what people don't know doesn't hurt them!
My other half never asks what I've spent on rally tickets, fuel, booze, B&B, etc etc. But I don't deliberately conceal it. And if I go out to get a tyre and come back with new clothing I don't make any excuses.
Some years ago when I needed a gearbox sorted and it was going to cost £350 I did mention it - and all he said was, 'Well you've got to have your bike.'
But then I don't ask what he spends down the pub or on fishing equipment or model trains either!
